NOW UPDATED WITH A VIDEO TUTORIAL (Scroll down to the bottom). Hello everyone I hope you are all well and happy launch day to Victoria 9/Genesis 9 figure! So you wanna use your older Gen 8, maybe even Gen 3 hair items on the latest Genesis 9 figure but you're running into problems when trying to autofit the hair items. If you select V9 and try to autofit a previous gen (rigged) hair item, here are two undesireable scenarios that might occur. The hair flips upside down. (Most of hair items made by me will do that whether they have custom bones or not because they are strand based/dforce and rigged in a very specific way). Or all looks well at first but when you try to pose the hair item, you will find out that all custom bones were deleted (that's just what autofit does). But don't worry, I've got you covered! There's a fairly simple workaround (with some limitations) that will allow you to fit almost any older hair item to almost any new Genesis 9 figure shape. Here's
